Private Teaching with Julia Shin-Yan

Explore sound healing in a focused, one-to-one setting.

These sessions are designed for those who want to go deeper — not just to learn techniques, but to understand how sound actually works in practice. Whether you are refining your skills after Level 1, building confidence to work with clients, or focusing on a specific instrument, each session is shaped around you.

Teaching takes place in Hammersmith, London (Saturdays), and a call is mandatory to define your focus and structure. All equipment will be provided.

Certification & Materials

Full course certification and manual are provided for 3-day private training only

For 1–2 day training, a focused handout will be provided instead. Additional certificates for specific instruments/modules upon request.

Please call Julia 07789 775957 to enquire and book.

Teaching Venue: Grove Neighbourhood Centre, 7 Bradmore Park Road, Hammersmith, W6 0DT

Private Level 1

Sound Healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls
£300 per day (12:30 pm - 5:30 pm) Flexible dates

Follow the Level 1 structure in a private setting, with space to slow down and properly understand each technique.

You will work hands-on with your own model, learning how sound is applied to the body, how vibration affects brainwaves, and how to deliver a treatment that feels steady and effective.

The 2-practitioner protocol (two people treating one client) is intentionally excluded it is not a practical skill for most real-life settings, and this training focuses on what you will actually use.

This can be taken as a full 3-day training (with certification and manual), or condensed into 1–2 days depending on your level and focus, with targeted handouts provided.

Private Level 2

Group Sound Baths & Multi-Instrument Practice
£300 per day (12:30 pm - 5:30 pm) Flexible dates

This training follows the full 3-day Level 2 course structure, adapted into a private format.

You will learn how to hold a group sound bath using multiple instruments including gong, drum, and singing bowls and how to build a session that people can stay with from beginning to end.

We also focus on how this translates into real settings: yoga studios, corporate sessions, or more ritual-style experiences.

If you prefer, the training can be shortened into 1–2 days with a more focused direction (e.g. singing bowls only, or refining your existing sound baths).

This can be taken as a full 3-day training (with certification and manual), or condensed into 1–2 days depending on your level and focus, with targeted handouts provided.

Gong — In-Depth Practice

£200 — 2 hours

This is not just about technique it’s about how you relate to the gong.

You will explore both handheld and stand-mounted gongs, working with different mallets, striking methods, and ways of building intensity without overwhelming the space.

More importantly, we refine your sensitivity when to hold back, when to expand, and how to let the sound develop rather than forcing it.

This approach comes from real practice: from private sessions in high-end London spaces to spiritual and ceremonial events, where the gong is not just played, but used to shift the entire atmosphere of a room.

The focus is on helping you find your own control and presence with the instrument so the sound feels intentional, not random.

Shamanic-Inspired Sound Practice

£200 — 2 hours

A more intuitive approach to sound, grounded in rhythm, repetition, and intention.

Using instruments such as drums, rattles, conch shells, and singing bowls, we explore how to create sessions that feel more immersive and connected.

This includes working with simple prayer, energetic awareness, and structuring a session that carries a sense of depth without overcomplicating the process.

Couple / Duo Sound Therapy

£200 — 2 hours

Learn how to hold a session for two people at once whether couples, duos, or relationships such as mother and daughter.

You will practise how to work with two individual energy fields alongside a shared dynamic, using primarily Tibetan singing bowls supported by other instruments.

This includes:

  • balancing differences in energy without forcing alignment
  • understanding where to focus your attention
  • creating a setup that allows both individuals to settle while harmonising the connection between them

This is a precise form of work that builds strong practitioner awareness and sensitivity.

Julia is an incredible teacher! I attended her sound healing private training and was so impressed by how detailed and patient she is. She explained every technique and concept thoroughly, making sure I truly understood both the theory and the practice. Never once did I feel rushed — she took the time to answer all my questions and guided me step by step until I felt confident. Her calming presence and genuine dedication made the whole experience so enriching. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to deepen your practice, I can’t recommend Julia’s training enough. Truly a five-star experience!
